By day, Nuri Albakri is a Malyasian Head Chef with 30 years’ experience living and working in West Cork with a passion for food . By night, he is Newry Bakry- a Cosplayer, Creator & Customiser. 

When Nuri and Caroline met, they bonded over all things Sci-Fi, Star Wars especially. A cheap , 5 inch storm trooper figure which Nuri bought Caroline as a gift fuelled a massive collection of figures and all things Star Wars.

Nuri has always been creative and has used this creativity in the customisation of  figures and outfits for cosplaying. This spawned the birth of Nuri’s own tribe-the West Cork Tuskens.

Now on 1-2 June 2024, with the Feel the Force festival in Dunmanway, Nuri and Caroline’s story continues.
